Programme Information

Established by the Sau Seng Lum World Children Care Foundation, Sau Seng Lum’s Shining Star Learners Special Education Primary School was founded as part of the Foundation’s long-standing vision of supporting the education of children with special needs. As a non-profit organization, Sau Seng Lum hopes to provide appropriate learning and growth opportunities for children with special needs through the establishment of the school.
Shining Star Learners Special Education Primary School caters for special needs students from the ages of 7-14 years. The programme has been designed to help special needs children to reach their developmental milestones. The programme provides appropriate educational content for special needs students to lead an independent and self-reliant life that would enable them to integrate into the society. Shining Star Learners Special Education Primary School utilizes KSSR Pendidikan Khas curriculum that are divided into different levels to meet the individual learning needs of students in order to maximize their performances.
At its core, Shining Star Learners Special Education Primary School forms a launching point in education that would hopefully transcend into secondary education. By keeping children involved in the programme throughout their primary grade school years, they will have the support they need to obtain basic primary school education.
With their tireless and continuous efforts, Sau Seng Lum hopes to create a platform for children with disabilities to discover their self-worth and reach their fullest potentials thus creating a brighter future for them.
